Peggy J. Richard is a member of the Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Group and the Litigation Group. As a member of those groups, Peggy assists clients with a wide array of litigation issues, including landlord tenant disputes, foreclosure actions, financial and collections matters, structuring and documenting financial transactions, and bankruptcy.
Before becoming an attorney, Peggy was a paralegal for 12 years in Dallas, Texas. During that time, she learned she had a passion for helping clients understand and navigate complicated legal matters. Peggy looks forward to providing clients with the high level of attention and competency they deserve.
During law school at the University of Oregon School of Law, Peggy was Director of the Child and Family Law Association, a volunteer and research assistant for the Domestic Violence Clinic, the Westlaw Student Representative, an Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund volunteer, and a Student Ambassador. While attending law school, Peggy worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Cynthia Wheless in Collin County, Texas, the law firm of Duffee + Eitzen in Dallas, Texas, and for Lane County Counsel in Eugene, Oregon, and was employed as a Peer Research Assistant at the John E. Jaqua Law Library. After law school, Peggy clerked for the Honorable Clara Rigmaiden at the Lane County Circuit Court before joining the team at Saalfield Griggs.
