BioDorothy Bean focuses her practice in the area of litigation, creditors' rights and bankruptcy, with an emphasis on construction law, business and commercial litigation, banking law, and real property. Creditors' Rights and Banking LawDorothy's creditors' rights and banking law practice focuses on the recovery of debts and the improvement and preservation of collateral interests. Dorothy has assisted clients in the filing and evaluation of state liens and security instruments, and the appointment of receivers for management and operation of commercial properties and businesses. Real PropertyDorothy's real property practice consists of handling real estate transactions, real property foreclosures, and other real property litigation. Real Estate and Land Use: Dorothy has represented businesses and individuals in land use actions before local governments and the Land Use Board of Appeals. Dorothy has also assisted in various aspects of real estate transactions, including use and access easements, lease agreements, and various other commercial, agricultural, and residential real estate transactions. Real Property Foreclosures: Dorothy works with clients in both judicial and non-judicial foreclosure actions to recover both real and personal property. Dorothy is also on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Willamette Valley, and is a member of the Salem Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. Off the JobDorothy was born and raised in Southern Oregon. She recently married Jacob Bean, a general contractor in the Willamette Valley. Dorothy and Jacob enjoy spending weekends renovating their 1930's home. When not working on home improvement projects, Dorothy enjoys camping, snowboarding, hiking, and exploring Oregon's beautiful outdoors. Dorothy also enjoys reading and watercolor painting. |
