Jennifer Paul is a litigation associate focusing her practice in the areas of general business litigation, real estate litigation, eminent domain actions, and employment litigation and compliance advice.
Real Estate Litigation and Condemnation
Jennifer represents owners in real property actions, including, but not limited to, lease disputes, adverse possession or perscriptive easement actions, reformation claims, actions to quiet title or proceedings in eminent domain. Jennifer has experience with condemnation actions and can provide guidance to clients in a direct taking of private property by the government of where “inverse condemnation” occurs (when the government denies that it has taken private property).
Employment Litigation and Advice
Jennifer assists employers with defending employment- related claims including, but not limited to, retaliation, discrimination, wrongful discharge, and charges of wage and hour violations. Additionally, Jennifer works with business owners, managers, and HR professionals, to ensure compliance with changes in the law.
General Business Litigation
Jennifer represents clients in a variety of different business disputes, in both state and federal court, including the following:
- Litigation of claims against shareholders and directors for breach of fiduciary duty;
- Litigation of stock valuation disputes;
- Breach of contract claims;
- Enforcement of non-competition agreements.
