Saalfeld Griggs views the hiring of law clerks as an important recruiting mechanism for the firm. We provide law clerks with a variety of interesting and challenging projects much like that of a first-year associate. Law clerks are encouraged to work in each practice area and, if possible, with each different lawyer. As associate positions become available, we prefer to hire from among our current group of law clerks.

We give preference to law clerk candidates who are in the top 25 percent of their class and who are involved with a law journal and/or a moot court program. Law clerk candidates must have excellent research and writing skills and a personality consistent with our friendly, collegial firm environment.
